   Being such a large city with so many more people, Joel & Clara have found that the dance community in Toronto is a lot bigger than that of Vancouver.   There are numerous places to take lessons, practice and even go to social parties.  

   Viva Dance Studio, owned by Sylvain and Tanya Cardinal (two-time Canadian Latin Champions)  is where Joel & Clara take their lessons (with Denis Tremblay) and practice a few times during the week.  The studio is open for practice at any time of the day, for $10 per couple.  There are also competitor practices offered two nights per week. 

  Twice a week, Joel & Clara also practice at the local community centres.  These practice sessions have no charge, as they are organized by local competitors who book the gymnasiums and bring their own music.  Since the practice floor fees in Toronto are a lot more expensive than in Vancouver, Joel & Clara take every opportunity to attend these community centre practice sessions.    There's plenty of floor space, air conditioning and good music...so what else does one need?
